Dr Tahmina Ahmed is the founder of Accountax Aid, a professional accountancy practice based in Barking, Essex, dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized businesses across London and the UK.
A Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with over 10 years of experience in public practice, Dr Ahmed has built a reputation for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial solutions that help clients grow with confidence. Her expertise spans statutory and management accounts, corporation and personal tax compliance, VAT, and workflow automation — with a strong focus on operational efficiency and cost savings.
Before founding Accountax Aid, Dr Ahmed worked at numerous public practices since 2015 where she led a team managing a diverse portfolio of clients across property, construction, IT, retail, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. Her hands-on approach and attention to detail have helped many SMEs strengthen their financial systems and streamline processes.
Dr Ahmed holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Islamic Finance from the University of the West of Scotland, where her research explored Muslim consumers’ motives and perceptions of risk in Islamic banking within the UK. This research deepened her understanding of trust, ethics, and client care — values that now form the foundation of Accountax Aid’s philosophy.
With additional qualifications including an MBA in Finance and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, Dr Ahmed combines academic excellence with real-world insight to provide clear, practical advice to business owners.
